I've had some really good experiences with Router-switch. Just a heads up, they're based in Asia, somewhere in Vietnam, I believe, but their service is top-notch and shipping is super quick. I reckon they must have a warehouse in the US because I usually get my stuff just a day after it ships. Their prices are fantastic, though keep in mind, shipping can be a bit pricey, but even with that, their overall cost is lower than most. Like any retailer, they do face shortages sometimes, but when they have items in stock, which is often, they ship them out fast.

I got a juniper router from this seller. The price is quite reasonable. They even assisted me in figuring out the issue with my old router. Unfortunately, it was beyond repair. I had to get a new one. They mentioned that signing up on their site gives you a 5% discount. That's pretty cool.

A few weeks back, I ordered a service extension because it was marked as 'in stock.' A few hours later, the seller reached out to let me know that the item was actually on back order and asked if I could wait a few weeks. Well, that back order period has already come and gone twice, and I still haven't received the item. The website still shows it as 'in stock.'

I’m really pleased with the Cisco gear I picked up from this seller and would happily buy again next year if we require additional networking equipment. The access points, switches, and routers are functioning well, and I managed to save some cash compared to the official retailers. Plus, it’s not often you find networking products that actually deliver on their promises with minimal hassle.

I attempted to place an order with Router-Switch, but the switch I needed was backordered with a week-long wait. Their sales director got in touch to see if I was fine with that timeline so they could move forward with my order. I explained that I needed it sooner and that the wait just wouldn’t cut it for me. I requested to cancel the order. In the end, I found the switch at another store for a couple hundred bucks less. A week later, I got the switch from Router-Switch anyway. They didn’t cancel my order and shipped it regardless. I tried reaching out to the sales director, but got nowhere. I also emailed the rep who sent me the tracking info, but no luck there either. Their chat support was useless, and I called their USA number several times, but it just kept ringing. I can’t get in touch with anyone to return this switch and get my money back. I really messed up on this one. The switch came straight from Hong Kong, from a company called HongKong Yejian Technologies Co, Ltd. This definitely feels like a scam.

Update 10.6.2022:
I finally heard back from them, and they said they would refund my account. They mentioned they were on holiday for the past five days, which is strange since I managed to chat with someone who couldn’t help me during that time. They also claimed they never got my cancellation request, which is why they went ahead with the order. They specifically asked, "Kindly confirm if you can accept this lead time? will process the PO accordingly." If they say they didn’t get my response, then why did they process the order anyway? Sadly, I won’t be ordering from this vendor again.

Getting this router up and running ain't exactly a walk in the park. The installation process is kinda complicated and not straightforward at all.

These days, it’s a real challenge to score a product that’s both affordable and ships quickly, thanks to the worldwide material crunch. Last month, I was on the hunt for a Cisco switch. While a lot of IT vendors are hiking their prices, this one hasn't budged. However, the delivery took quite a while.

The router switch is now asking to withdraw my review. I waited a whole month just to get a reply saying they tossed my email aside. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine how others who actually bought something feel when they get ignored. What's worse: no response at all or a reply that makes you feel like you don't count?

I made a purchase for one of their products that was listed on their site, and they charged my PayPal right away. The following day, I got an email from them stating that the cost of the item had gone up by $100. I shot back a reply asking to cancel my order and get a full refund. No response came. I also tried reaching out via their 'Live Chat,' but again, no one answered. I even called their US number, and it just kept ringing with no one picking up. Honestly, my suggestion is to steer clear of these scammers. Any decent business would have at least replied. Now, I guess I’ll have to reach out to PayPal to cancel the transaction and get my money back. Just a heads up for other buyers!

Honestly, I'm not the best with tech stuff and picking out a router is a bit of a challenge for me. I did some digging on Google and Amazon for options. Amazon had a better price, but they didn’t offer any tech advice. I mean, I’m no pro in this area. After looking around at other vendors, I finally stumbled upon Router-switch.com. Based on my experience, they really know their stuff and their tech support is totally free, even for just one device.

I placed an order for 901-R730-WW00 and was informed they had it available. Once I completed my payment, I received an email stating that the item was actually out of stock and offered to swap it for something else. This is a terrible company that you shouldn't waste your money on. Seriously, steer clear!

I reached out about a Juniper MX204-base they had on their website for just under $13k USD. Initially, I didn’t get a response, so I tried calling. After several attempts spread out over a few hours, no one picked up. Finally, I sent a follow-up email two days later, asking if they were still around, and they got back to me pretty quickly.

However, they were eager to push for an immediate purchase, claiming that the next shipment would take over four months. I mean, that sounds plausible, but they didn’t provide any details on how to proceed. I had some questions about the router, like whether it was new and if I’d face issues registering for Juniper care, and that’s when things started to go south.

The seller responded saying the model was no longer available and tried to upsell me on a different unit for an extra $2.5k. They completely ignored my inquiries about counterfeit issues, the serial number, and Juniper care.

Interestingly, the original model is still up on their site, same price, and available for express shipping.

In short: I had a classic bait and switch experience, just like many others seem to have.

They claim it's in stock, but turns out it's end of life and totally unavailable. I was aware the part was EOL beforehand, but they still advertised it as available, right?

I'm asking for a refund for the third time now, and they keep trying to offer me a substitute instead.

I bought it through Paypal, so I'm not too stressed about getting some of my cash back, but the CAD to USD conversion with Paypal means I won't get the exact same amount refunded, so I’ll end up losing a bit.

Best to steer clear of this place.
